About Leics Swap Shop
Multi-Coloured Swap Shop, or just simply Swap Shop as it was more commonly known was a British Children’s entertaining programme; one of the original Saturday morning shows during the late 70’s and early 80’s.
The concept was pretty simple; one person needed something and would offer up an exchange, hence the name Swap Shop.
Over 40 years later, modernised for the 21st Century, the Leics Swap Shop has been created. Originally launched in Derby the community quickly pulled together to create the online Swap Shop led by Rachel of the award-winning, bid writing consultancy service that is Ask the Chameleon, founder, owner and CEO of the internally recognised sports apparel brand HUUB and creative and digital marketing agency think3.
Leics Swap Shop is championed by Nicola Moss from Moss Social, a social media management business and formerly supporting small businesses with marketing and communication of policy with the FSB. Nicola is joined by Jessica Southworth who has worked across the globe and previously connected with businesses across Leicestershire as a fundraiser for CLIC Sargent. Our third champion is Sonia Viner who has spent almost 20 years working in the Probation Service and more recently heading up the operations and admin team for Leicester based charity Mosiac 1898.
Leics Swap Shop is pretty simple. An individual, business or charity from across Leicester and Leicestershire is looking for something. In return they will provide a swap offering services or goods in return.
The key is finding the right match. There will be someone across Leicester and Leicestershire who can swap with you, opening up endless possibilities of networking, making new connections and joining in with the brilliant community spirit of Leicester and Leicestershire. Not sure if you match exactly, then why not make them an offer?
Simply create your account, post your swaps and wait for someone to contact you.
